Options
A table running over several pages (same columns) becomes one table; header rows repeated on later pages are dropped.
So you can sum, filter and sort in Excel. ID numbers, phone numbers (starting with 0) and dates stay as text.
Tables are read right on your device — the file is not uploaded.
How to use
- Add a PDF with tables (exported from Word, Excel, accounting software or a browser).
- The tool finds tables with drawn lines and previews each one; untick the ones you don’t need.
- Choose whether to join tables across pages, convert digits to numbers, and use one sheet per table or a single sheet.
- Click “Create Excel file”, check the cell count and download the .xlsx.
Current limits
- Only tables with drawn lines are recognized. Tables without lines can be taken line by line (one row per line, columns split at wide gaps — approximate).
- Tables in scans are images: run OCR first, and they can only be taken line by line.
- ID and phone numbers starting with 0, and dates, stay as text so leading zeros are not lost.
- Cell colors, formulas and charts are not converted.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Reading the tables and building the Excel file happen in your browser, on your device; the file is not sent anywhere.
Will 1,250,000 become a number in Excel?
Yes. The tool detects how the table writes numbers (1,020.5 or the European 1.020,5) and stores them as numbers with thousands separators, so you can sum and sort them.
Does a table spanning several pages become one table?
Yes, with “Join tables across pages”: the last table on a page and the first table on the next page with the same columns are joined, and repeated header rows are dropped.
Are merged cells kept?
Yes. Cells merged across rows or columns in the PDF become merged cells in Excel.
What if no table is found?
Tables without drawn lines or inside scans are not recognized as tables. Use “Take text line by line” to bring the text into Excel line by line; for scans, run OCR first.
