How to use
- Add the PDF form (a Word file saved as PDF, or a scanned PDF).
- Press “Find blanks to fill” to suggest fields at dotted lines “……”, underlines, small squares and empty table cells — or pick a field type and drag on the page.
- Select each field to set its name (e.g. “Full name”), font size, character limit, one-box-per-character for ID numbers, dropdown options.
- Press “Create fillable PDF”, try it right away in “Fill & sign PDF”, then download and send it to whoever needs to fill it.
Current limits
- Finding blanks is only a suggestion based on the page’s shapes (dotted lines, underlines, squares, empty table cells) — check it; scanned PDFs have no text layer, so fields get default names.
- No JavaScript validation or calculations are added (for safety); a date field is a plain text field with a hint.
- A signature field is an empty box for signing with digital-signing software; PDF Tool Plus does not create digital signatures.
- Existing fields are kept; adding fields to a digitally signed PDF invalidates the old signature.
Frequently asked questions
Will accented text typed into the fields display correctly?
The form embeds the full Be Vietnam Pro font (with Vietnamese characters) as the fields’ default font, so Acrobat Reader, browsers and Foxit display accented text correctly. PDF Tool Plus’s “Fill & sign PDF” always draws the text with an embedded font.
Which apps can fill the form?
Adobe Acrobat Reader, Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Foxit Reader on computers; on phones use Acrobat Reader or “Fill & sign PDF”. Some simple PDF viewers cannot fill forms.
How do I make one box per digit for an ID number?
Set “Maximum characters” to 12 and turn on “One box per character”: each digit lands in its own equal box. A row of adjacent squares on the form is also recognised as such a field by “Find blanks to fill”.
Is the file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read, analysed and turned into a form in your browser on your device.
