- The stamp is an extra layer drawn on top of the page: it records the intended use, but someone with PDF editing software can still remove it.
- Bookmarks and links in the document are kept; fillable forms, attachments and digital signatures are not.
- The Be Vietnam Pro font (SIL OFL licence) is embedded, limited to the characters used.
How to use
- Add one or more PDF files.
- Type the stamp text, e.g. “For the job application at Company A only, 14 Oct 2026”, and choose a placement: diagonal, tiled, header or footer.
- Turn on “Page numbers” if needed: choose 1/5 or Page 1 of 5, the position, the starting number, and whether to skip the cover.
- Check the preview of the first page (made by the same engine used for the file), press “Stamp PDF” and download.
Current limits
- The stamp is an extra layer drawn on top of the page: it records the intended use, but someone with PDF editing software can still remove it.
- The Be Vietnam Pro font covers Latin and Vietnamese; characters outside it (CJK, emoji…) are replaced with “?” and reported.
- Bookmarks and links inside the document are kept; fillable forms, attachments, digital signatures and metadata of the original are not.
- Password-protected or restricted PDF: unlock it in the notice when you add the file (you need the password or the right to edit).
Frequently asked questions
Does the stamp hide the document content?
No. The original content is untouched; the stamp is drawn on top at the opacity you choose (25% by default) so the information underneath stays readable.
Should I stamp copies of my ID before sending them online?
Writing the purpose and date on a copy (e.g. “For opening an account at …, on …”) makes it harder to reuse the copy for something else. Let the text cross the ID image without hiding the details that must be read.
Can page numbering skip the cover page?
Yes. Choose “Don’t number the first page”, or limit the page range (e.g. 2-) and set the starting number.
Can the stamp text be copied and searched?
Yes. The font is embedded with a Unicode map, so the text can be copied and searched. With diagonal text, some PDF readers split it into single characters when searching — horizontal text (middle, header, footer) does not have this issue.
