Word, Excel, PowerPoint to PDF
Need to submit a PDF but only have a Word or Excel file? Convert it, then merge or compress on your device.
How to use
- Choose Word, Excel or PowerPoint files (nothing is sent yet).
- Read how the conversion server works and tick consent to send the selected files.
- Press “Convert to PDF”: files are sent, converted with LibreOffice and deleted from the server right away.
- Check the PDF, then download it or continue with Merge PDF, Compress PDF…
Current limits
- This is the only feature that sends files off your device, and it exists only when the deployment enables a conversion server. Otherwise the page explains how to save as PDF on your device.
- Fonts and layout can differ slightly from the original because LibreOffice is used. Password-protected files, macros or unusual fonts may not convert.
- There is a size limit per file and a time limit per conversion.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files stored on the server?
No. Each conversion uses its own temporary folder; the original and the temporary PDF are deleted as soon as the conversion finishes, also on error. The server does not log file names or content.
Can I avoid sending the file at all?
Yes: open the file in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, LibreOffice or Google Docs and save/download it as PDF. Then use the other PDF Tool Plus tools — they all run on your device.
